Senior Accountant – FCD

Type of Job    : Business

Division          : FCD

Reports to      : Head of Department

Job Description:

This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Accountant at KMEFIC in Kuwait City. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing financial accounts, preparing financial statements, conducting financial analysis, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Additionally, the Senior Accountant will collaborate with internal teams to support financial decision-making and contribute to financial planning processes.

Qualifications and Skills required:

    • Financial Accounting, Financial Analysis, and Financial Reporting skills.
    • Past-experience in Investment companies in Kuwait is a must.
    • Experience with regulatory compliance and financial standards (CMA & IFRS).
    • Proficiency in financial software and MS Excel.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is a must.

Auditor   – Internal Audit  

Type of Job    : Business

Division          : Internal Audit Department

Reports to      : Head of Department

Job Description:

The Auditor will plan and conduct audits, ensuring compliance with standards and regulatory requirements, and provide recommendations for improvement. They will also track audit findings, monitor resolutions, and manage internal control reviews.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Prepare audit plans, heat maps, and conducted audits in alignment with the audit charter and company standards.
  • Ensure audits adhered to IIA standards, regulatory requirements, and internal controls were cost-effective.
  • prepare final audit reports, provided recommendations for improvements, and communicated findings with the Head of Audit.
  • Monitor the implementation of audit observations and ensured timely resolution.
  • Manage internal control reviews, quality assurance reviews, and special reviews.
  • Prepare monthly internal audit trackers and aging analysis.

Qualifications and Skills required:

    • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Accounting, or other related fields.
    • CIA/CPA or CISA preferred
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills
    • Critical thinking and analytical skills
    • Computer literate (Microsoft application)
    • Bilingual (Arabic and English reading and writing)

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Audit.

Officer – Compliance 

Type of Job    : Business

Division          : Compliance Department

Reports to      : Head of Department

Job Description:

Contribute to ensuring the company’s compliance with applicable laws and regulations, focusing on customer due diligence, regulatory compliance, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Review KYC forms, perform customer due diligence, and monitor alerts through monitoring systems.
  • Ensure compliance with AML, FATCA, and CRS regulations, including monitoring daily transactions and reporting.
  • Stay updated on laws, regulations, and circulars issued by regulatory bodies and ensure their implementation across relevant departments.
  • Update company policies in alignment with regulations and laws issued by regulatory bodies.
  • Manage and follow up on disclosures and reports submitted to regulatory authorities.

Qualifications and Skills required:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Previous experience in compliance, risk management, audit management or similar fields is preferred.
  • Knowledge of the Capital Markets Authority laws of the State of Kuwait.
  • High accuracy and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in Arabic and English (reading, writing and speaking).

Experience:

  • Two years of experience in Compliance Field.
